Job Description & Responsibilities:-
- Work with the Operations team to analyze existing data pipelines to identify performance bottlenecks, scalability limitations, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, business objectives, and user needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of pipeline modifications to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliability.
- Design and implement data quality checks and validation procedures to maintain data integrity throughout the pipeline.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize resource allocation and improve overall system performance.
- Document pipeline modifications, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for reference and future use.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers on best practices for pipeline optimization.
Eligibility Criteria:-
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Data Engineer, specifically in optimizing data pipelines.
Preferred Skill Set:-
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, and SQL.
- Proficiency in working with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or similar distributed computing frameworks.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques for monitoring pipeline performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data pipeline issues.
- Knowledge of database systems and SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
