Job Description & Responsibilities:-
- Writing and executing manual test cases to identify bugs in the software
- Assisting Senior Test Engineers in designing and developing automation test scripts
- Responsible for following test strategy and execution for new features, feature testing, automation, performance/reliability test automation, regression, and integration testing
- Assess product-specific testing requirements, and work with cross teams to increase test coverage
- Identifying bugs and reporting them to ensure zero regression issues and reduce re-work.
- Debug issues and provide detailed information to the development team to help with issue resolution
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure that automated tests cover all functional requirements and use cases
- Building upon domain knowledge and technical/proprietary skills to reach levels of expertise
- Having a logical approach to problem-solving and could respond to detailed queries
- Participate in agile development processes such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings
- Continuously improving and updating testing processes and procedures
- Should be open to venturing into learning new products as per the business needs
- Strong attitude towards teamwork, knowledge sharing, and documentation
Eligibility Criteria:-
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or related field preferred
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies such as functional testing, regression testing, and performance testing
- The ability to analyze test results, identify defects, and provide detailed reports to the development team
- Good Technical, Analytical, and Problem-Solving Skills
- The ability to work 2 days per week in Bangalore the office; hybrid schedule may be subject to change to reflect return-to-office policies
Preferred Skill Set:-
- Understanding of programming languages like Java, Python, Automation Frameworks, and other scripting languages
- Strong analytical capabilities and logical skills
- Knowledge of Solution design and awareness of agile methodology and scrum processes
- Good decision-making ability
- Effective communication skills
- Continuous learning
- Understanding of SAP modules such as SAP FICO, SAP SD, SAP MM, or SAP HCM will be an advantage
- Certification such as ISTQB will be an added advantage
