About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join the Data Curation and Engagement team at Barclaycard Payments. This team is responsible for delivering and developing regulatory, client, and business reporting solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to conduct requirement analysis, data discovery, and prototyping, while ensuring data quality, compliance, and process continuity.
As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in designing data solutions, applying governance standards, and driving process improvements to optimize reporting and analytics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Data Curation and Engagement in data delivery.
- Engage stakeholders to analyze requirements, discover data, and prototype business rules to fast-track solutions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of data reporting controls and compliance processes.
- Optimize and improve existing data pipelines and processes for efficiency.
- Apply advanced data analytics techniques to solve complex business challenges.
- Design and prototype solutions for data transformation and cleansing.
- Investigate and analyze issues related to data quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative sources.
- Execute data cleansing and transformation tasks to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Develop automated data movement and processing pipelines.
- Apply machine learning and AI techniques for advanced analytics.
- Document data quality findings and provide recommendations for improvement.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Strong knowledge of SAS, Databricks, and SQL.
- Proven experience working with a wide range of stakeholders across business functions and geographies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate technical insights into clear, actionable business terms.
- Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, and reporting compliance.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with advanced data techniques, including AI and machine learning.
